Close-up of My Vanity (via FineCrafted (Nori))
…designed around a vintage mirror that I picked up a yard sale many years ago. The cabinet on the left holds towels, my curling iron and lots of other toiletries. There is a bank of drawers directly below it.
I purchased the mirror for $10 at a yard sale. It was frameless at the time and had a slight chip. When you get really close to it, you can see yourself in miniature in the centers of the flowers. They’re convex circles that reflect a fish-bowl effect.
The sconce I bought for $2 or $3 at a different sale. Now I need to pick up an interesting shade.
I used a bar sink instead of a regular vanity sink. IMHO it’s much more functional. As my mother exclaimed the first time she saw it, “You can wash your hair in there!”…or cut flowers or hand wash some delicate laundry items, etc..
What an improvement from the tiny, stock cabinet that was there prior to this.
